About 1,000 employees of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery Factory reportedly held a protest a few days ago. An employee of the factory told Meydan TV that the reason for the rally was the delay in salaries.
The employment contract states that salaries must be paid from the 1st to the 15th of the month. The factory has a total of 1,300 employees, and some of them were paid on the 15th of the month. The rest are still waiting [for the payment].

According to him, 1,000 workers at the factory protested for two days in a row. He also noted that SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) was informed about their problems.
Officials at the plant initially said that it is just a delay. Then they said that there was a problem with the bank. Thousand have not been not paid their salaries for March.
