Russia Investigation Committee launched a criminal case against Rovshan Asgarov, a former participant of “What? Where? When?” TV show and PR director of Baku magazine. A statement from the committee said that the journalist was promoting Nazism:
The Main Investigation Department of the Investigation Committee is launching the criminal case against Rovshan Asgarov in connection with the rehabilitation of Nazism. He is charged under Article 354.1 (rehabilitation of Nazism) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The committee stated that attempts to tarnish or degrade the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland, regardless of their status and social status, will be met with a harsh response.
Why is the journalist accused: According to Absaz publication, Asgarov called the Russian commander, Soviet Marshal Georgi Zhukov an “experienced robber”, a “uniform killer” and a person who stole valuables from Germany, and the State History Museum a “pseudo-history”. The Investigation Committee called it an insult to the marshal’s memory and a false information that discredited him.
